Mandatory Entry Level Training (MELT)
Mandatory training is required for drivers who want to obtain their Class 1 driver’s license.
As of September 1, 2019, you must complete an approved Class 1 Mandatory Entry-Level Training (MELT) course before you can book your road test to obtain a Class 1 license to drive a semi-trailer truck.

Requirements
To start one of our class 1 training courses, you must meet the following entrance requirements:
Be at least 18 years of age.
Hold a valid Class 5F driver license.
Hold a valid class 1A (Authorized Instruction) license.
Hold a valid Air Brake endorsement (I, A or S).
